Happy Birthday Mick!

Hello.
Today is my uncle's birthday. For his card I have used an old favourite, Worth Repeating by Stampology, to create a background, and a new favourite, Derek and Deirdery Dunderton by Dr Digi's House of Stamps, as the main image. The background paper comes from the Checks pad by Paper Cellar.

Steampunk Birthday

Hello.
I tend to stick to CAS designs, but I had lots of fun playing around to make this card. The card base is bronze shimmery card. The next layer is a textured light brown paper from my stash, which was inked around the edges with a red ink pad. After that is a paper from the Persimmon Collection by Papermania, which has a strip from a page in an old book down one side and was inked around the edges using a bronze ink pad. The top layer is Key Background by LilyPink Designs, which I printed two of so that I could cut the clock from one of them. The head is a freebie from Beyond The Fringe and the hat is Top Hat, another LilyPink Designs image. All the images were coloured using a combination of pencils and sponging from ink pads. The gold embossed sentiment is from the Worth Repeating set by Stampology. To finish I added some brads. I didn't have brads in the colour I wanted to I filed some silver ones and inked them using a bronze ink pad.

Broken Foot

Hello.
Some of you may remember James breaking his foot back in March. Well, it didn't heal properly, so today he has had surgery to fuse the bones back together. He should only be in hospital over the weekend, but will then be in a cast for another three months. I'm posting this really quickly before I go to visit him, so I'll get on to the card. I used a Kenny K image, and backed him on a circle of paper from the Travel Light pad by We R Memory Keepers. I will update about James with my next post.

31 Day Card Challenge - Day 16

Hello.
The next five parts of the 31 Day Card Challenge are fold challenges. The first fold is side step, and I used the dimensions from the SCS tutorial for mine. I made this one for my cousins birthday. It includes all the Rocky Horror images from the Ocropode Factory.

31 Day Card Challenge - Day 1

Hello.
It's October, which means I start my 31 Day Card Challenge. I will be posting the challenge cards at 12pm every day.

For day 1 the challenge is to use black, white and one other colour (the other colour I used is blue). This lady is from the Art Deco set which came with Creative Stamping Magazine. I coloured her hat and dress in blue and added a blue gem to the front of her hat. She is backed on three ovals, the top one is black glossy card, the middle is white card cut with decorative scissors and the bottom one is white card which I coloured with the same blue pen that was used on the image. The background paper is from the Black and White pack by Paper Cellar. I finished off with a sentiment from the Worth Repeating set by Stampology, and added a couple more gems.

Little Devil

Hello.
This little guy is from Bugaboo's Skelekinz line. I created the spotty background he is on using a homemade stamp (a circle of foam stuck on the end of a pencil, I can't remember where the idea came from, but it works great). I kept the background of the card simple, just using the birthday stamp from the Worth Repeating set to add a sentiment.

Maddie One

Hello.
I have used the four Maddie's from my hair colouring experiments on cards. Here is the first one. I will be posting the other three over the next few hours. She is backed on a paper from the Happy Days pack.

Happy Days

Hello.
This card uses my new favourite paper pad Happy Days by Papermania. The stamp was printed twice so that I could pop the balloon up.

Hello.
These are five of the cards which I made when working through my pile of digi's. I made them into a quick set of invites.

Hello.
Today is my birthday! Tomorrow I will be going out with my friends to celebrate, but at the same time we will be celebrating one of my school friends hen nights. This is the card I will be giving her for her wedding.

Gardening

Hello.
This is the third of the five birthday cards. This one is for James' Granddad. He grows vegetables so I used this gardening image from Beccy's Place. The sentiment is from Stampology's Worth Repeating. I stamped the full birthday stamp in brown and then went over just one in black to make it stand out.

A-Team

Hello.
This is the second of the five birthday cards I need to make this month. This is for another of James' cousins. She is a fan of Ed Sheeran so I printed some of his sheet music and distressed it to use as a background for this Coco Dingo image. The wings have been glittered using Star Dust Stickles.

Happy birthday Richard!

Hello.
Today is my cousin's boyfriend's birthday. These are a couple of cards he will be receiving from my family.

The first one is from me and James. I asked James what he thought I should put on the card and he said Batman. I don't own any Batman images, so I just went with the superhero theme instead, and used this Dustin Pike dragon. I coloured his clothes black to represent Batman, and put him over cloudy paper to make his fly. To finish the card off I used a sentiment from Stampology's 'Worth Repeating' set.

The second card will be from my parents. He is seen as a Goth so I chose to use 'Sexy Goth Girl' from Delicious Doodles for his other card. Once I'd coloured the image and cut round it I decided to add gems to two corners. Before I stuck them down I realised it looked like a playing card, so I added his age, to make it look more like one.

Football (soccer)

Hello.
James' cousin has a birthday coming up soon, so I had to get a card ready for him. When I asked James what he wanted on the card he said football. After looking through my digi's I was quite surprised to find that I didn't really have any that would work so I went in search of one. I found two so I got them both, and ended up making two cards.

The first one uses an image from Kenny K and a sentiment from Stampology. I used four green promarkers to create some grass for him to be playing on.

The second one uses an image from Bugaboo and a sentiment from Hobbycraft. This one had to be kept really simple as I ended up making it in a bit of a rush.

Laptop

Hello.
I will soon be needing a couple of masculine birthday cards, which I tend to struggle with making. I wasn't sure what to put on these cards and then I remembered about this laptop image from Digi Drawn. I used the Worth Repeating stamp set by Stampology to add the sentiment, because I thought it would look like the different fonts had been written on the laptop. Now I just need to get the second card done.

Pop-up Mojo

Hello.
I have a couple of cards to share. The first is a free standing pop-up card, the instructions for which can be found here. These are really fun cards and I have been wanting to try one for a while. I also used this weeks Mojo Monday sketch for the design.

- The two patterned papers were free with a magazine, but they have Making Memories logo on the back.
- 'Happy Birthday' is from Worth Repeating by Stampology, which is available here (about halfway down the page).

Second is an easel card. This really only came about because I wanted to play with my fusible fibres. I bought them a couple of years ago and I have only used them twice. I think I will be playing with them more over the next few days.

- The stamps are from the Rock Star set by Inkadinkado, which is available here.
- The paper is from the Rock Star mat stack by DCWV, which is viewable here.

Cupcakes and Bookmarks

Hello.
I've been at work most of the weekend so I've just got a couple of quick projects to share with you. The first is this gift set of a 2,4,6,8 box and a 3" square card. When I have put something in the box I will be stapling it closed at the top.

- The cupcake stamp is from a set which I can't seem to find online and I have only seen it in The Range. The company do a few different sets, each of which has four stamps and a mini ink pad.
- The Happy Birthday stamp is from Worth Repeating by Stampology and is availabe here (about halfway down the page).
- The image is coloured using Papermania Pastel Brush Markers which are available here.

The second thing I have to share is this bookmark. I think I might have made too many bookmarks for myself so I'm gonna have to start getting rid of some.
- The stamp is from Inkadinkado's In The Groove set which is available here.
- The paper is from the Rockstar mat stack which is viewable here.
- The eyelet came with the Provo Craft Silent Setter which is available here.
- The thread is just cross stitching thread, in three different colours.

You're Special

Hello.
So I'm back for day two on my blog. This stamp was bought for me by my FMIL. I thought I would try some blending with my markers, and I love how the orange flowers have turned out.

- The patterned paper is from the same pack as yesterdays, the 'Black & White' 6x6 pad from Paper Cellar Ltd.
- The butterfly stamp is from Inkadinkadoo and is called 'Butterfly Flourish'.
- 'You're Special' is from the 'Worth Repeating' stamp set by Stampology.
- The images were coloured using Papermania pastel brush markers.
- The faux stitching is done using a Green Sakura gelly roll pen from the Gold Shadow set.
