Birthday Wishes

Hello.
I haven't been very good at blogging recently, so for July I am aiming for at least two posts a week. It is a busy month for birthdays, so that should help. I recently bought a couple of craft magazines to try and inspire some creativity. Two of them came with stamp sets which I have used on this card. The image is from an Elisabeth Bell set, and the sentiment is from a Holly Hobby set.

CYDI? Challenge #36 - Anything But A Card

Hello.
It's time for a new challenge at CYDI? This time we are wanting to see anything but a card. For my project I went with an altered box. First I covered it with a wood grain paper from the Vintage pad by Grace Taylor, and then distressed it. I embossed the sentiment with gold embossing paper, and sprinkled the gold EP over the top of the lid. I then added the image, which is Bingo Dress Form & Wings by LilyPink Designs. To finish I added some buttons from the Elzybells Chocolate Brownie collection.

31 Day Card Challenge - Day 24

Hello.
Day 24 of the 31 Day Card Challenge and today the challenge is to be inspired by a material in your home. My craft room is at my Grandma's house so I went on a search for a material to use. I found a blue blouse which has different blue and purple flowers on it, and it instantly reminded me of a paper I have. For the card I kept the paper as the focus and added a few buttons to match the buttons on the blouse.

This is what the blouse looks like which I based the card on.

31 Day Card Challenge - Day 11

Hello.
The next five challenges of the 31 Day Card Challenge are the item challenges. The first item to use is brads or eyelets. I have been meaning to use this stamp set for a while, and I though this was the perfect opportunity to use it. It came with a magazine towards the end of last year. The adult bear is pointing out a star to the young bear, so I added a star shaped brad where the star is on the image. The sentiment comes from the same stamp set.

Paper bracelets

Hello.
When I first tried paper bead bracelets I promised my Mum I would make her one. I finally got around to making it. It uses a paper from Basic Grey's Oxford 6x6 pad.

When I gave the bracelet to my Mum she asked if I would make one for a colleague of hers who is leaving. Her colleague likes purple so I used two purple papers. The paper on the left is from a Kate Knight 6x6 pad which was a freebie and the paper on the right is from the Celebrations 6x6 pad by Paper Cellar.

Buttons

Hello.
Just a quick post, for this quick card. I have been playing with my new embossing folder. I used it straight onto a 4x4 card base, swiped a yellow ink pad over it, then finished it off by adding a pre-printed sentiment.

Floral Birthday

Hello.
The last of the five birthday cards I needed for this month is for James' Auntie. This one is going to have to go in the post so I kept it to one layer. After a lot of deliberation I decided to leave it black and white.

Happy 30th

Hello.
This month I have five birthday cards to make for members of James' family. This is the first one of the five, and is for his cousin who is turning 30. I used my new Papermania Typography numbers to emboss 30 onto some Making Memories paper and used the same paper for the background. The sentiment at the bottom is from a set of pre-stamped sentiments which came with a magazine.

Cat and Mouse

Hello.
This was made using another set I left on the desk to make sure I used, which I think I will leave out to use again, as it is full of sweet images. The set is a magazine freebie which was designed by Adam Pescott. The patterned papers both come from the Kitschy Kitchen 6x6 pad by Melissa Frances.
