Happy Birthday Adam!

Hello.
Today is James' cousins birthday. When I asked James what he wanted on the card he suggested 'those creatures', so I have used Flob from DoodleFactory's Creatures Set II. I made the background paper using my Maple creative colour spray. The dots were stamped using bubble wrap, which was inspired by this card. The sentiment was embossed using a chocolate scented embossing powder.

31 Day Card Challenge - Day 10

Hello.
The challenge for day 10 of the 31 Day Card Challenge is to use any technique to make your own background paper. I decided to use the emerging colour technique. I started by using my watercolour pens to colour a piece of watercolour paper. Then stamped and clear embossed over that using an arrow from Hot off the Press' Fun and Funky Arrow set. I rubbed black ink over the whole thing and then used tissue to remove excess ink. The sentiment was created using the Fun Alphabet by Papermania, and I coloured it in all different colours to match the multi-coloured arrows.

Happy Birthday Bob!

Hello.
Today is James' Dad's birthday. I knew I wanted to theme his card around music, and when I found these two stamps amongst my digi's I thought they were perfect. I used one on either side of a gate-fold card.

It opens out to reveal this inside.

Ginger golfer

Hello.
This was a request from my Mum for someone from the rugby club she is involved with. She asked me to have a golfer wearing the club colours, and it had to have forty on the card. This is what I came up with for her.

Welcome to the world.

Hello.
James' sister is due to give birth any time soon, so I have made this card as a congratulations for Keeley and Mick, and as a way of welcoming Thomas into the world. Because this is a scheduled post, he may already be here by the time this appears on my blog. James and I can't wait to meet him. We will be going to see Keeley on Sunday night, so hopefully Thomas will be here by then.

Thomas was written using the Fun Alphabet set by Papermania. The rest of the sentiment was written using an Elzybells alphabet. The animals are Snag 'Ems by Imaginisce. As well as the three on the front, there is this Giraffe inside the card.

Thinking of ewe

Hello.
At the moment my Auntie is in hospital waiting on an operation to remove her gall bladder. I have made this quick card to send to her.

The head and the 'hair' have been layered, here is a closer shot which shows the layering.
- The sheep and 'thinking of' are from the Honey and Hugs stamp set, which is available here.
- The 'ewe' is from the Papermania Fun Alphabet set, which is viewable here.
- The faux stitching is done using a sakura gelly roll pen from the gold shadow set, which is viewable here.
