This card is for one of my cousins who is a lover of 'weird' hats. I thought of her as soon as I saw this image from Digi Garden.

31 Day Card Challenge - Day 18

Hello.

Easel cards are the challenge for day 18 of the 31 Day Card Challenge. I thought it would be fun to have an image of an easel on my easel card, so I used this painting dragon from Doodle Dragon Studios. I chose one of my favourite sentiments to go with him, and to keep with the colour theme added a selection of different buttons.

Red Head

Hello.

A non-challenge card for this post. I wanted to use this image on a card, but I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it. I asked James what colours he thought she should be. Once she was coloured I chose a Christmas paper to go with her, and finished off with one of the Kid Quotes.

Geek

I was sorry to find out recently that Squiggle Stamps will be closing by the end of the year. All their stamps are currently on 50% off, so I would definitely suggest checking the shop out before it's gone. Geek Goth Boy which I used on this card is from there. I think Kraft cards look great CAS so I kept this card simple by just adding a sentiment and some faux stitching.

Colour

I had fun playing with colours for this card, so I had to use one of my favourite sentiments to finish it off. 

Maddie Four

This is the fourth and last of the Maddie cards. Scroll down to see the other three. I kept this one simple, and just used an Inkadinkado stamp to add a sentiment.

Paint Splashes

This image is from my pile of digi's which I've coloured ready to be made into cards. I was looking through that pile and realised this painter would go perfect with the splatter stamp from the Just Chillin' set. The splatter stamp was used with a selection of ColorBox ink pads to create a fun background for the Owl. 

Chocolate Strawberries

This card is for the July challenge at Beccy's Place. You have to make an easel card using one of her images. I already had a few of her images printed and ready to colour, but ended up choosing Chocolate Strawberries.

Aqua Marine

Hello.

I played with my colour sprays again for this card. The background uses Aqua and Kingfisherlicious, and the border stamp from Inkadinkado's Rock Star set. The image is Eva the Witch from Delicious Doodles. 

Kraft

Don't you love it when you find things that go perfectly together? I found this sentiment as I was looking through my stamps and realised it was exactly what I needed to go with the papers which I had already cut to use on this card.

Singing The Blues

I have a pile of images that are coloured, cut out and waiting to be made into cards, which I have started to work through. This card uses one of the Kenny K images from the pile. I made the background for this card using the Rock Star set from Inkadinkado.

Inkadinkacollage

While I had my Inkadinkado sets out I though I would use two of my favourites to make a collage. This was created using images from the Rock Star and the In The Groove set. I filed the edges of the paper and slightly scrunched parts of it then inked the edges to add a grungey look. The finished collage is mounted on a pearlescent card.

Skull Heart

I wanted to make a single layer card yesterday, but ended up making this with the heart popped off the card. The heart comes from Delicious Doodles, if you haven't seen their stamps, they are definitely worth a look. They have a great variety of unique images, as well as some more contemporary ones. The border is from the Rock Star set by Inkadinkado, which is one of my favourite sets. It has been left unused for a while, so I think I'll play with it some more while I've got it on my desk. I thought it would be fun to contrast the dark images with a cute sentiment, so I chose one from Elyzbells' Summertime mini messages.

You Make Me Happy

When I originally stamped 'Rupert' for the card I posted earlier I wasn't sure what colour to make him. I didn't think the first attempt was right for that card, but I couldn't just throw him away, so I made this card for him to go on.

The background paper and the three circles are from the Transportation double sided 12x12 paper by Best Creation Inc. I cut the spanner he's holding from one of the robot themed pages in the All About Boys 12x12 stack by DCWV. The sentiment is a combination of part of one stamp from the Friendly Advice set by Inkadinkado and a stamp from the Bubble Greetings set by Elzybells.

Scenic

I have been wanting to make a card like this for so long, and I finally got the perfect paper for it. The cloudy paper comes from a 6x6 pad called Let's Fly Away which was designed by Rachel Harper for Quick Cards Made Easy magazine. The spotty paper is from the Spring Burst 6x6 pad by Papermania. My favourite thing about this card though is that I got to use two of my favourite stamp sets. Rupert is from the Doodle Factory's Creature set, and the sentiment is from the Friendly Advice set by Inkadinkado.

Great Sister

Recently I haven't been making cards regularly. I make a few cards one day and then go a few days without making any. Today I made four cards, so I will be sharing them over the next four days. This first card uses the current freebie from Kenny K. After stamping the background in black I tried to add some interest to it by colouring over the images. It took a while to decide on the sentiment, and I'm not sure I ended up making the best choice since I don't have a sister, but I'm sure I will find something to do with it.

Devilish Donna

Kenny K has so many great designs in his shop it was hard for me to limit myself to only buying three, but I managed it and Devilish Donna is one of the images I chose. I created the background using the 'Rock Star' set by Inkadinkado.

I got my favourite sentiment set out again for this card. Those Kidz Quotes are just too cute! The image is this months freebie from Kenny K.
I added a strip of paper on the inside too, just to finish it off.
