Purple sparkles

Hello.

It's been a while sine I shared any nails, because I haven't been doing much art on them, and when I have I haven't taken any pictures. Yesterday I was in a nail art mood. I went with a really simple design and just did a gradient nail with a glitter polish over it. All the polishes used are by Barry M.

Olympic Inspired Nails

I'm a little late posting this. This is what I had on my nails at the start of the week. I have been really enjoying watching the Olympics, so I felt inspired to put a few flags on my nails.

I used the last two of the Octopode Rocky Horror stamps for this card. Those arrows were embossed on a few scraps of paper, and I used a sentiment from Wink Wink Ink to finish.

I also wanted to share a picture of what I currently have on my nails. Ready for the Olympic opening ceremony tonight I have the colours of the rings.

Blink nails

Last night James and I went to see Blink 182. I had a lot of spare time before we went so I painted my nails. There is a picture below to show the album cover these nails are based on. 

I used to go to gigs almost every month, but I haven't been to one for a while, so I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately we missed the first band due to James working, but I don't know anything by them anyway. Both Blink 182 and the support act we did see (The All-American Rejects) were really good though. Here's a couple of pictures showing those two bands.

Mr. Men

I wanted to paint something fun on my nails today since I haven't for a while. One of the YouTubers I watch for nail art tutorials recently did nails featuring Bloo from Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends, which made me want to try and do all the characters from that. I need a little more practice before I can do that though, so instead I went with something a little easier. I found a picture of all the Mr. Men characters and chose five of them to try. So here we have Mr. Happy, Mr. Bump, Mr. Strong, Mr. Sneeze and Mr. Messy. 

Monsters Inc.

Yesterday I felt like doing something fun on my nails. Between me and James we decided I should do Monsters Inc. inspired nails. I based my designs on the two main characters, so on my left hand I have blue with purple patches to represent Sully and on my right hand I have green with yellowy green spots to represent Mike.

Pampering session

My Grandma has been having problems with her knee lately, she went to see a doctor yesterday who told she may end up needing a new knee. So my Mum, my Auntie and I organised a pampering session at her house on Thursday to try and cheer her up. While we were there we used the face steamer and some face masks. I also painted my Mum and my Grandma's nails, and I dyed my Mum's hair. My Auntie ended up leaving early so she didn't get her nails done. My Grandma just had her nails painted a neutral colour, but my Mum asked me to do something with red and green on hers. This is how my Mum's nails turned out.

So, it's been half a year since my last post. Oops! Since then I have started some new hobbies, mainly nail art and polymer clay jewellery, so there will be more than just papercrafts appearing on here from now on. Before I get back to normal blogging though here are a few samples of what I've been creating.
