Monster Rock!

Hello.
This is Monster Rock by KiniArt, he is available from Can You Digi It? When I had coloured him and cut him out I realised that he fit perfectly on this square from the Rock Star pad by Best Creations. Luckily the colours matched him too.

Goth Rock Star

Hello.
This is the calender I have made for myself. I have used Shy Goth Girl by what was Squiggle Stamps, but they have closed and their stamps have moved to The Stamping Shack. The background paper is from the Rock Star pack by Best Creations. I finished off the empty corner with some gems.

31 Day Card Challenge - Day 12

Hello.
The second of the item challenges for the 31 Day Card Challenge is to use material. My first thought was ribbon, but I wanted to use something different. I have a scrap of denim from an old skirt in my craft room so I decided to use that. Skullz Boy by Squiggle stamps is backed by the denim and then two papers from the Rock Star pack by Best Creations. The final layer is from my scraps. Everything except the image was inked to give a grungy look.

Singing The Blues

Hello.
I have a pile of images that are coloured, cut out and waiting to be made into cards, which I have started to work through. This card uses one of the Kenny K images from the pile. I made the background for this card using the Rock Star set from Inkadinkado.

Inkadinkacollage

Hello.
While I had my Inkadinkado sets out I though I would use two of my favourites to make a collage. This was created using images from the Rock Star and the In The Groove set. I filed the edges of the paper and slightly scrunched parts of it then inked the edges to add a grungey look. The finished collage is mounted on a pearlescent card.

Skull Heart

Hello.
I wanted to make a single layer card yesterday, but ended up making this with the heart popped off the card. The heart comes from Delicious Doodles, if you haven't seen their stamps, they are definitely worth a look. They have a great variety of unique images, as well as some more contemporary ones. The border is from the Rock Star set by Inkadinkado, which is one of my favourite sets. It has been left unused for a while, so I think I'll play with it some more while I've got it on my desk. I thought it would be fun to contrast the dark images with a cute sentiment, so I chose one from Elyzbells' Summertime mini messages.

Last post before Ireland.

Hello.
I only just posted an update, but I am doing this last one before I am off to Ireland tomorrow. I've got all the last minute stressing about everything being packed to do. I will be back next Tuesday/Wednesday (not sure what time we get back) and will be looking forward to catching up with everything I have missed on the blogs of the lovely ladies in 'Eyelets, Ribbon, Paper - Oh My!'.

On to the card. This was inspired by the special edition of Paolo Nutini's album These Streets. The second picture shows the card with the album, so you can see where the idea came from. I have been meaning to do a card like this for a while.

- Image stamps and 'Rock Star' stamp are by Inkadinkado, from the sets 'In The Groove' and 'Rockstar'.
- 'Birthday fun' is from the Sheep set in the 'Honey and Hugs' range by Papermania.

Rock & Roll

There's nothing really to tell about this card, so I'll just get straight to it.
- The stamp is from the Rock Star set by Inkadinkado, which is available here.
- The paper is from the Rock Star mat stack by DCWV, which is viewable here.

Star Book Tutorial

, Hello.
Here is a tutorial for the star book that I posted on here the other day. These instructions make a 4" square book, and a six point star.

Step 1: Cut your cardstock into six pieces at 4" x 8", six pieces at 4" x 6 1/2" and 2 pieces at 3 3/4" square.

Step 2: Fold all the pieces, except the 3 3/4" ones, in half.

Step 3: Decorate the smaller pieces and the the square pieces. If you are using embellishments keep them flat so it will close properly.

Step 4: Stick the edges of the smaller pieces to the edges of the larger pieces so they create this shape.
Step 5: Stick the backs of each piece together making sure to leave a back and front cover.

Step 6: Stick ribbon along the front and the back of the card. I have used sellotape, but you can use anything as it will be getting covered.

Step 7: Stick the square pieces on the front and back cover. The ribbon can now be used to tie the book open and closed.

Pop-up Mojo

Hello.
I have a couple of cards to share. The first is a free standing pop-up card, the instructions for which can be found here. These are really fun cards and I have been wanting to try one for a while. I also used this weeks Mojo Monday sketch for the design.

- The two patterned papers were free with a magazine, but they have Making Memories logo on the back.
- 'Happy Birthday' is from Worth Repeating by Stampology, which is available here (about halfway down the page).

Second is an easel card. This really only came about because I wanted to play with my fusible fibres. I bought them a couple of years ago and I have only used them twice. I think I will be playing with them more over the next few days.

- The stamps are from the Rock Star set by Inkadinkado, which is available here.
- The paper is from the Rock Star mat stack by DCWV, which is viewable here.

- The skull border is from the Rock Star set by Inkadinkado which is available here.

Next is the sketch challenge.

Cupcakes and Bookmarks

Hello.
I've been at work most of the weekend so I've just got a couple of quick projects to share with you. The first is this gift set of a 2,4,6,8 box and a 3" square card. When I have put something in the box I will be stapling it closed at the top.

- The cupcake stamp is from a set which I can't seem to find online and I have only seen it in The Range. The company do a few different sets, each of which has four stamps and a mini ink pad.
- The Happy Birthday stamp is from Worth Repeating by Stampology and is availabe here (about halfway down the page).
- The image is coloured using Papermania Pastel Brush Markers which are available here.

The second thing I have to share is this bookmark. I think I might have made too many bookmarks for myself so I'm gonna have to start getting rid of some.
- The stamp is from Inkadinkado's In The Groove set which is available here.
- The paper is from the Rockstar mat stack which is viewable here.
- The eyelet came with the Provo Craft Silent Setter which is available here.
- The thread is just cross stitching thread, in three different colours.
