Green Beads

Hello.
Using a paper from the Travel Light pad by We R Memory keepers I've been making paper beads. So far I have finished two bracelets. I have a few leftover beads and plenty more paper strips to make another couple. As they are green I wore them for St. Patrick's Day yesterday.

CYDI? Challenge #28 - Green Is Here

Hello.
Oops...I'm a day behind on my post for the latest CYDI? challenge. This time the challenge is to use green, check it out here. For my project I wanted to make something other than my usual card. I used the City Stamps digi's by LilyPink Designs to make this necklace.

Paper bracelets

Hello.
When I first tried paper bead bracelets I promised my Mum I would make her one. I finally got around to making it. It uses a paper from Basic Grey's Oxford 6x6 pad.

When I gave the bracelet to my Mum she asked if I would make one for a colleague of hers who is leaving. Her colleague likes purple so I used two purple papers. The paper on the left is from a Kate Knight 6x6 pad which was a freebie and the paper on the right is from the Celebrations 6x6 pad by Paper Cellar.

Polymer Clay Creations

Hello.
I have a few polymer clay items to share. The first is this (slightly out of focus) Elephant key ring. Because it has so many parts which will easily break off I don't think it will ever get used, but it was fun to make.

I finished the first of these apple earrings a while back. The second one has been waiting to be varnished, which I finally got around to doing.

This one was also made quite a while ago, but I wasn't sure how to paint it. The clay is actually green, but it has ended up being a purple patchwork cat-like creature.

Glitter bow

Hello.
IHaveACupcake who I watch on YouTube recently made a bow ring which she covered in glitter and then added rhinestones. I liked the ring better before she added the rhinestones, so decided to make my own glitter bow ring. I used a black glittery embossing powder instead of just glitter though to make it easier to varnish over.

Update on the Harry Potter rings

Hello.
A few posts back I mentioned that I was making a set of Harry Potter jewellery, and that I had finished the rings but didn't have a picture. Here are the pictures of the finished rings

To make them even more realistic I also did the back covers for them, so here is the back of the rings.

Black, White and Red All Over

Hello.
I've been making more paper beads. I cut two 8x8 pages into strips and I'm working my way through them. These three bracelets have been finished so far.

And this is what's left to do.

Paper beads

Hello.
I recently joined a new blog group and after having a look through their blogs I found this post on Dana's about paper beads, which includes a tutorial and cutting file. I have seen these a few times lately and have been wanting to try them, but hadn't got around to searching for a tutorial yet. Her's made it sound simple so I decided to give it a go. I made beads in three different sizes and then turned them into two bracelets.

Here they are individually.

I will definitely be making more of these. They're a lot easier to make than I had expected, they look great and of course they can be made to match any outfit.

Green Bow

Hello.
I made this black bow ring in January, and was planning to make some others. I've made this green one slightly smaller so that it's easier to wear daily.

Adipose

Hello.
This little guy is an Adipose. They were aliens which appeared in an episode of Doctor Who. I've been wanting the soft toy of this since I knew there was one, but I still haven't bought one yet so I've made one for myself to wear as a necklace instead.

Here's what they looked like in the episode.

Kermit and Converse

Hello.
The couple of charms I'm sharing now still need their wires wrapping. When that is done they will be attached to chains to become necklaces. Usually when I make polymer clay jewellery it is based on what I have seen made by others online, but recently I have been trying to come up with my own designs and these are two of them.

First of is Kermit the Frog. I wanted to make my favourite muppet Gonzo, but I wasn't sure how well his nose would work, so for now I'll stick with Kermit.

Second is a red converse. I own quite a few pairs of converse, but I have wanted red ones for so long and still not bought any. So I figured I would make myself one.

Bow ring

Hello.
This is my first polymer clay creation of the year. I've been wanting to make a bow ring for a while and I finally got round to it. I might make a few more of these soon in other colours, and do some with patterns on, but for now here is my plain black one.

New new

Hello!
So, it's been half a year since my last post. Oops! Since then I have started some new hobbies, mainly nail art and polymer clay jewellery, so there will be more than just papercrafts appearing on here from now on. Before I get back to normal blogging though here are a few samples of what I've been creating.

Nail art.
