CYDI? Challenge #36 - Anything But A Card

Hello.

It's time for a new challenge at CYDI? This time we are wanting to see anything but a card. For my project I went with an altered box. First I covered it with a wood grain paper from the Vintage pad by Grace Taylor, and then distressed it. I embossed the sentiment with gold embossing paper, and sprinkled the gold EP over the top of the lid. I then added the image, which is Bingo Dress Form & Wings by LilyPink Designs. To finish I added some buttons from the Elzybells Chocolate Brownie collection.

This adorable image was from a magazine freebie set by Wee Stamps. After looking them up to see what else they have to offer, I think I will soon be getting more of their images.

Canary Love

Hello.

This is my first attempt at colouring hair with the line left in make it look shiny. It didn't go perfect, but I will give it another try. Sometimes when I'm colouring an image for the first time I will google it to try and see how other people have used it. I did that for this image and used the card here as inspiration.

Crafter's Companion

I recently bought a couple of Crafter's Companions stamp sets. They are so sweet I had to use them straight away. This is the couple of card's I made with them.

The first one uses the Grandma set. My Grandma's birthday is coming up later this month so I might send this one to her. I used a paper with a hopscotch pattern for the background to keep with the theme of childhood games.

The second card uses the Best Friends set. I knew I wanted to use this floral ribbon which was recently given to me by James' mum, so I coloured their dresses in to match it.

Pen pal

Last month I joined another craft forum called Craft Bubble. They have a section for pen pals, so I looked in there and found a couple of people to write to. This is the first card I have sent. I waited until she had let me know it arrived before posting it on here.
