Happy Birthday Richard!

Hello.
Today is my cousin's boyfriends birthday. Whenever we go to Rossnowlagh while we are in Ireland he will spend most of his time searching the rock's for fossils. I took inspiration from that for his card. I went with lots of grey to imitate the rock colours and used a Doodle Dragon Studios sentiment which has dinosaur bones around it. The papers are from the Black and White Colossal Paper Pack by Papermania.

I also used the paper to decorate the inside of the card.

31 Day Card Challenge - Day 28

Hello.
The third sketch of the 31 Day Card Challenge is a circle card. I thought I would make it into a Halloween card, so I used this fun cupcake from Doodle Dragon Studios.

31 Day Card Challenge - Day 27

Hello.
Day 27 is the second of the sketch challenges in the 31 Day Card Challenge. For this card I used three of the Bear Heroes from Doodle Dragon Studios. The other panel has a sentiment on which I made using the Typewriter alphabet set from Hobbycraft. They are all backed on a superhero themed paper which was in my scraps.

31 Day Card Challenge - Day 18

Hello.
Easel cards are the challenge for day 18 of the 31 Day Card Challenge. I thought it would be fun to have an image of an easel on my easel card, so I used this painting dragon from Doodle Dragon Studios. I chose one of my favourite sentiments to go with him, and to keep with the colour theme added a selection of different buttons.

Paint Splashes

Hello.
This image is from my pile of digi's which I've coloured ready to be made into cards. I was looking through that pile and realised this painter would go perfect with the splatter stamp from the Just Chillin' set. The splatter stamp was used with a selection of ColorBox ink pads to create a fun background for the Owl.

Dino Party

Hello.
These are five of the cards which I made when working through my pile of digi's. I made them into a quick set of invites.

Happy birthday Richard!

Hello.
Today is my cousin's boyfriend's birthday. These are a couple of cards he will be receiving from my family.

The first one is from me and James. I asked James what he thought I should put on the card and he said Batman. I don't own any Batman images, so I just went with the superhero theme instead, and used this Dustin Pike dragon. I coloured his clothes black to represent Batman, and put him over cloudy paper to make his fly. To finish the card off I used a sentiment from Stampology's 'Worth Repeating' set.

The second card will be from my parents. He is seen as a Goth so I chose to use 'Sexy Goth Girl' from Delicious Doodles for his other card. Once I'd coloured the image and cut round it I decided to add gems to two corners. Before I stuck them down I realised it looked like a playing card, so I added his age, to make it look more like one.

Aliens

Hello.
Before I get to today's card I have some news to share. On Friday night James and I went to a friends house for a party. While we were there James broke two bones in his foot. He is currently in hospital, and it's looking like he will be in until Tuesday. It means he will be in the hospital for his birthday, which is on Monday. I am trying to get in for visiting times as often as I can, which means I'm not going to have much time for making anything. I have a couple of cards ready to post though so my blog shouldn't be too quiet. So, on with the card. I used a couple of Dustin Pike stamps to make this scene. It's a pretty simple card, but I like how it turned out.

Fear!

Hello.
I made this card with my brother in mind. As soon as I found this sentiment I knew I had to make a card for him. I drew the web on the background myself. The spider image is by Dustin Pike and the sentiment is from Dude Time Doodles.

Volcano Birthday

Hello.
This card was really quick and simple to make, but I really enjoyed colouring the lava. I just sized this Dustin Pike image to fit the card coloured it and stuck it on the card front.
Here is a closer shot to show the colours merging in the lava.

Aliens!

Hello.
On the Doodle Dragon Studios shop you can buy all the images from last year in one bundle. I purchased this bundle recently and here is a card using two of the images. I added spots of glitter to the black card to look like stars.

Bookmarks

Hello.
Yesterday I downloaded a few free digital stamps so I could have a play around with them and see if I wanted to buy more. Today I've made a couple of bookmarks using them. This first one is made using an image by Dustin Pike. He has so many cute designs!

The pile of books on this one is by Bee Crafty. For the quote I googled 'quotes about reading'. Once I found a quote I liked I edited it using Paint Shop Pro. That quote is so true for me, it seems like every time I go shopping I decide I will just have a quick look in Waterstones and then end up walking out with a few new books.
I think I will definitely be buying some more digital stamps, it's really nice to be able to adjust an image to be exactly how you want it.
