Unfinished Projects

Hello.
The cards I have made recently can't be posted yet as the people they are for won't be getting them for a few days, and they sometimes read my blog. So I'm sharing something different today, a couple of projects I've been working on.

First up is a cross stitch which I started last year. This is the first time I have done a large cross stitch. I keep leaving it and going back to it every couple of months, so it's taking a while to get finished. When it is finally done I will get it framed and post a picture on here.

Next is my knitting. My Grandma taught me how to knit a couple of weeks back, and this is my first project. It's a scarf, because I thought it would be best to start with something simple, but it's going to be a huge scarf.

I love the wonderful cross stitch image Mary Kate and good on your for giving it another go....I tried this once but have decided any form of sewing is not for me! And how lovely that you can spend some time with your grandmother and for her to teach you a new skill.....can't wait to see the finished scarf. xx

Love that cross stitching, great image and colors. My great grandmother taught me this and I haven't done it in years. I might get back into it.

Your cross stich is great! I love them and tried as a young lady, but am all thumbs so it takes me forever and I then I stop. My mom wanted a pair of pillowcases and so I completed one eventually, but 30 years later, it never got is mate! Can't wait to see your scarf!

Mary Kate, your cross stitch is beautiful. I am sure that when you get it finished it will be worth the time it took to complete. And good for you to take up knitting. Lots of people seem to be taking up this craft these day.

I love your wonderful needlework, Mary-Kate! I don't have the patience for cross-stitch or the skill for knitting.

I have recently become a beginner crocheter through a prayer shawl ministry at my church.
