Pegasus

Hello.
This is Pegasus by Delicious Doodles. I used monochrome papers for this card since I wanted to leave him uncoloured, as he is usually depicted as a white horse. The papers are all from the Capsule Collection by Papermania in black. Everything is backed on black glossy card from my scraps.

CYDI? Challenge #32 - Pick a Season

Hello.
As well as being naughty and leaving my blog with no posts recently, I also didn't get a project posted in time for the latest CYDI? challenge. This post is the card I would have made for the challenge. The challenge is to make a card based on your choice of season. It's supposed to be spring here at the moment but the weather is stuck in winter, so I wanted to make a spring card to at least pretend it's starting to get warmer. Green Beads

Hello.
Using a paper from the Travel Light pad by We R Memory keepers I've been making paper beads. So far I have finished two bracelets. I have a few leftover beads and plenty more paper strips to make another couple. As they are green I wore them for St. Patrick's Day yesterday.

Happy Birthday Ellie!

Hello.
Today is James' cousins birthday. I got my Elzybells stamps out for this one. The card was kept simple with just a couple layers and the stamping, and I coloured using pencils to keep with the soft, neutral colours.

CYDI? Challenge #31 - Male Birthdays

Hello.
It's my turn to host the Can You Digi It? challenge. The theme this time is Male Birthday's. This card was made using lots of scrap pieces of paper, and Top Hat by LilyPink Designs. It's my first attempt at anything in the steam-punk style. I wanted to put more metal on it, but I didn't really have anything that would work. It's definitely a style I want to try again though, I love the look of it.

Happy Birthday James!

Hello.
Today is James' birthday! I have made him an accordion card using an idea I've had for a while. When I saw Cookie Guy and Superhero from Kenny K I wanted to make a card based on Superman changing in the phone booth. Since James is a comic book fan I wanted to wait for his birthday to make it. I found the phone booth image on a blog called Beyond the Fringe.

The change takes place over three pages of the card. The first page shows the Cookie Guy, the second is the Telephone Booth with the blur of colour inside as he changes to be the Superhero who appears on the third page. I thought it would be fun to have the sentiment spread over all three pages too.

For each image I created a background to match. Cookie Guy has games console controllers, the Telephone Booth has numbers as they are on a phone key pad, and the Superhero has stars.

I added some gloss to Cookie Guy's glasses, and the Telephone Booth is laid over acetate so that they both look more like glass. To finish each panel I added some faux stitching around the edges.

Unfinished Projects

Hello.
The cards I have made recently can't be posted yet as the people they are for won't be getting them for a few days, and they sometimes read my blog. So I'm sharing something different today, a couple of projects I've been working on.

First up is a cross stitch which I started last year. This is the first time I have done a large cross stitch. I keep leaving it and going back to it every couple of months, so it's taking a while to get finished. When it is finally done I will get it framed and post a picture on here.

Next is my knitting. My Grandma taught me how to knit a couple of weeks back, and this is my first project. It's a scarf, because I thought it would be best to start with something simple, but it's going to be a huge scarf.
