Geek

Hello.
I was sorry to find out recently that Squiggle Stamps will be closing by the end of the year. All their stamps are currently on 50% off, so I would definitely suggest checking the shop out before it's gone. Geek Goth Boy which I used on this card is from there. I think Kraft cards look great CAS so I kept this card simple by just adding a sentiment and some faux stitching.

Thorne

Hello.
This is another card which will be for someone to send to my cousin for her 21st. At University she does a lot of film editing, so I knew I wanted to use Hobbycraft's Film Reel stamp on a card for her. I used it to create the background for this card and then added Thorne from Delicious Doodles.

Little Monster

Hello.
When I was sorting through my scraps I found this oval which I had coloured and drawn a  pattern on. It stood out from the rest of the scraps so I thought I should use it. I then looked through my pile of printed digi's and came across this monster from Squiggle Stamps, so I coloured him to match the oval and layered them together. I used decorative scissors to add a pattern to the side of the card, and then coloured some paper in the same shade again and stuck that to the inside edge of the card. The sentiment to finish is from the Thank You set by Hobbycraft.

Twenty One

Hello.
October is one of the busiest months for me making cards, lots of people having birthday, so I usually try and get started early. One of my cousins will be turning twenty one and I will need four cards, for different people to send her, so this is the first one of them.
While I was browsing through ideas to use for the 31 day challenge I came across some ideas which I wanted to try. This card uses the pixel embellishments which I thought looked really cool. I used black, pink and purple chalk for my pixels, although I think the pink got lost behind the two darker colours.

31 Day Card Challenge

Hello.
I recently came across the 31 day nail challenge, and I remembered a while back on Facebook people were doing other 31 day challenges such as the photo one and the song one. If you've not seen any before it involves a list of 31 challenges to be done over 31 days. Usually the rules say that the days don't have to be consecutive, but most people do it that way.

After a bit of searching it seems that there is already a card making version, but I couldn't actually find a list of challenges, so I though it would be fun to come up with my own. I have split the 31 days into 6 different kinds of challenges, so there are five of each and the last challenge is just to repeat any of the previous. I tried to keep the challenges fairly easy so that anyone can play along.

I am going to start my 31 day challenge on the 1st of October, and I would really love if anyone was to do it along with me.

Feel free to share the picture around, but please link back to this post if you do. Also, if you are taking part in the challenge, either in October with me or any other time please let me know, I would love to see your creations!

Santa

Hello.
I couldn't resist the adorable Nitwit stamp set which came with the latest Simply Homemade magazine. The Santa from that set was used for this card. Santa's candy cane has star dust Stickles between each stripe. The paper he is backed on is from a collection designed by Beth Gunnell. The snowflake and sentiment are both from a Polka Doodles set. All the papers on this card have silver ink along the edges, although the picture is only showing it on the patterned paper.

Take Care

Hello.
For this card I used my post it's for masking again. This time I left a section of card between two strips of post it's and added colour. I then stamped the flowers over the colour. I kept it CAS and just added a sentiment to finish.

Love

Hello.
I recently got some half size post it notes. I've been playing around with them and trying a few masking techniques. For this card I placed a strip of the post it's across the card then used my brayer to colour the rest of the card. In the gap left by the post it's I stamped the sentiment using the the Typewriter alphabet from Hobbycraft.

Hugs

Hello.
I seem to have been neglecting my blog recently, so I have three cards ready to post over the next three days.

Today's card uses Just Purr-fect from Delicious Doodles. I backed her on a paper from the Oxford pad by Basic Grey. The sentiment was created using the Typography alphabet set from Hobbycraft.
