CYDI? Challenge #25 - Not a Creature was Stirring

Hello.
The new Can You Digi It? challenge is titled Not a Creature was Stirring. The challenge is to create a holiday card using an animal image. My card uses Gift Opening Dog by KiniArt.

My Grandma needed a card to send to my Uncle's girlfriend, Caroline. The dog in the image is very similar to Caroline's dog Clara, so I just had to use this image for her card.

The paper comes from a special edition magazine called Just Great Papers - Christmas Cards. There is a small strip of the paper on the inside of the card too. The sentiment comes from a Popcorn the Bear set which was a magazine freebie.

Snow scene

Hello.
This card is going to the part of my family who don't come to my Grandma's for Christmas, I am getting all the family who do come to my Grandma's to sign it for them. It uses the beautiful 'On a Winter's Day' image by Delicious Doodles. I left the image as it is when printed because it really doesn't need anything adding to it. I framed it with some stickles, then backed it on plain white card. For the next layer I stamped a snowflake image by HOTP in silver onto white card. Then it all went on an 8x8 card base. The sentiment comes from the Seasons Greetings set by Papermania.

Vintage bear

Hello.
I haven't blogged for a while as I haven't really made anything. When I have had time for crafting I just haven't felt like making anything. But today I got to spend most of the day at my craft desk and I've had some Christmas music playing so I've been working on my Christmas cards.

I bought some 8x8 cards last month to make Christmas cards for mine and James' families and this is the first one I've used. I kept this one fairly simple just three squares of paper, a stamp, some brads and some faux stitching. That lovely image was from a magazine freebie set by Adam Pescott. The holly paper is from the Christmas Village 6x6 pad by First Edition Papers, and the red paper is from Papermania's Vintage Christmas 8x8 pad. I'll decide who's getting which card when I have them all ready.

Skelekinz Thank You

Hello.
I haven't really felt like creating much this week, so I'm sharing a card which I didn't share when I made it, just so my blog doesn't get lonely. This card was made for James' friend who has helped him out with driving a few places since he can't drive himself at the moment.

CAS Shopper

Hello.
I already shared my DT card for the CAS challenge at CYDI? but I couldn't resist making a second CAS card using Shopper by Betty Edwards.

Happy Birthday John!

Hello.
Today is my Uncle's birthday. I am sending him this card featuring Malice from Delicious Doodles. He's interested in history so I thought a warrior woman would be perfect for him. The paper she is backed on has a bronze shimmer to it, which I used to match the metal in the picture.

CYDI? Challenge #23 - CAS

Hello.

Pooperman

Hello.
I saw this image and sentiment on Bugaboo and had to get them. I was going to use them on a 1st birthday card for James' nephew, but that's not until February and I couldn't wait that long. This card will now be sent to James' sister as an RAK.

I used the 'Pooperman' sentiment which comes with the image on the inside of the card, along with a strip of each of the papers used on the front of the card.

Rock Queen

Hello.
Today's card uses 'Shy Goth Girl' from Squiggle Stamps. She is backed on three papers from the Rock Queen pad by DCWV. The layout for this card was based on Sketch 266 on Mojo Monday.

And, a quick update on James. He came home yesterday and is doing pretty good. In two weeks he goes back to the hospital to see how the foot is getting on, and to have a new cast put on. I've passed on everyone's well wishes and he says thank you.

Broken Foot

Hello.
Some of you may remember James breaking his foot back in March. Well, it didn't heal properly, so today he has had surgery to fuse the bones back together. He should only be in hospital over the weekend, but will then be in a cast for another three months. I'm posting this really quickly before I go to visit him, so I'll get on to the card. I used a Kenny K image, and backed him on a circle of paper from the Travel Light pad by We R Memory Keepers. I will update about James with my next post.

CYDI? Challenge #22 - Favourite Animal

Hello.
It's challenge time over on the Can You Digi It? blog and this time we are using our favourite animals. I have a few favourite animals, but this Meerkat stood out to me, as I end up spending a lot of time watching them whenever we go to somewhere that has them. Click this link to go to the challenge, and I hope you can play along.

Last minute Halloween card

Hello.
In the last minute of Halloween I wanted to share this card I made last night. I didn't want to post it earlier as I didn't want it to get in the way of the last part of the challenge I've been doing all month. This image is one of the Halloweenie's by Delicious Doodles. These images are great for layering, which is what I have done on this card.

Here is a side view to show the different layers.

31 Day Card Challenge - Day 31

Hello.
The last day of October and the last day of the 31 Day Card Challenge. The final challenge is just to repeat whichever was your favourite challenge. I chose to repeat day 6 which was paper piecing. It's a fun technique to add pattern to an image, which I don't do very often so I thought that would be a good one to repeat. I have used Grandma from Crafter's Companion and given her an animal print dress using the Safari Kids pad by DCWV. I finished off with a sentiment from the Girl Just Chillin' set by Making Memories.

Here are the cards from day one to day thirty:

And last, but not least I have to say thank you to Danie for playing along.
