Today is my brother's birthday. It was hard to think of something for his card which I haven't done before. He spends a lot of his time nowadays playing a game called League of Legends,  so I decided to base my card on that. This character is called Amumu, and he seemed like the simplest Champion for me to make. I used two of the same paper for the background and popped some of the stripes up.

This is the card I made for my Grandma to give to my Uncle for his 50th birthday on Friday. It uses a decoupage sheet from Craft Creations. I didn't take a picture from the side, but there were eight layers.

Lions

This is one of those cards that was just made for the sake of making something, so I don't really have anything to say about it. The paper is from the Safari Kids mat stack which I got for my birthday, so that's another to check off the list of birthday presents I have used. That list might take a while to get through. I am definitely one of those crafters who hoards things, especially paper pads.

Guitar Hero

This is for another of James' cousins. It's based on the Guitar Hero video games. The circles are punched from white card and then coloured using promarkers. The guitar comes from the 'For Him' set which came with Creative Stamping magazine. I embossed a Hobbycraft sentiment over the guitar. That embossing powder smells of cinnamon, but I had to use it because it's the only red I have.

Today is James' birthday, and as this is a scheduled post I don't have any more news about his foot. So I'm just going to share his birthday card. I wanted to make him something based on Star Wars so I did a quick search for something to used. The only stamps I found were rubber ones, and I didn't have time to wait for an order to arrive. Then I came across this site which has a few templates for Star Wars themed snowflakes. They looked like something a bit different to use on a card, so I tried to choose the simplest one, since it was my first try. I used the storm trooper one and made it into a circle easel card.

I had a problem sticking it down though so I didn't like how it ended up looking. I decided to retry it, and this time made it bigger, which meant I could add more of the details. It ended up being too big for a card, so I made it into something for him to stick on his wall. Here is the second attempt.

Cool Kid

Yesterday James and I went for a walk at the local reservoir just before the sun started going down and then went to my Grandma's so I could make a quick card. I used one of the Kenny K images that I coloured recently, and kept it fairly simple.

Football (soccer)

James' cousin has a birthday coming up soon, so I had to get a card ready for him. When I asked James what he wanted on the card he said football. After looking through my digi's I was quite surprised to find that I didn't really have any that would work so I went in search of one. I found two so I got them both, and ended up making two cards.

The first one uses an image from Kenny K and a sentiment from Stampology. I used four green promarkers to create some grass for him to be playing on.

The second one uses an image from Bugaboo and a sentiment from Hobbycraft. This one had to be kept really simple as I ended up making it in a bit of a rush.

Doodle Birthday

I'm supposed to be getting ready to leave the house right now, so I'll keep this post short. This card was made on Friday and I wasn't sure whether to blog it, since I haven't had chance to make anything else I thought I would share it today. I ended up having to make it quite fast so I stuck with a simple layout.

Coraline

I had two copies of this image printed and as I was colouring one for a different card I thought the image reminded me of Coraline. I think it's because her eyes look a little like buttons. So I coloured this image in colours which Coraline is most often depicted wearing. The image is by Squiggle Stamps. The sentiment is for the Birthday set by Hobbycraft. I had to add a few buttons to the card to finish it, these ones are all from the Tub 'O Buttons.
